Vision #no.1
Before we even started with interest
in any kid’s stuff,
this magazine was already our favourite!
kid’s wear magazine
An out-of-the-box-thinker, full of art, photography, vision, kidsfashion.
Very conceptual but at the same time very accessible,
if you’re openminded towards art and different visions.
The creatives interpret, so they will have a lot of freedom we assume…
And that makes it such a strong concept.
After more then 20!!! years (1995)
it is still the number one magazine…
Get inspired and be surprised every single issue
by this intelligent and
incredibly (#jealousmaking #inaverygoodwaythough) talented ‘family’.

A little tribute to Mr. Bill
BILL CUNNINGHAM,
the legend happy brilliant fashion photographer from NYC.
Famous in his blue french worker jacket…
(or blue winterjacket or blue raincoat)
Cycling through Manhattan (midtown/downtown)…
Photographing all the brilliant details of fashion.
Always waiting for the next fashion statement
to come around the corner!
He has an incredible eye for detail
and is very humble in his acknowledgment of his talent.
“It’s just on the street, it’s not me!”
he said in the wonderful documentary
‘BILL CUNNINGHAM NEW YORK’,
you really have to watch!
After watching this you’ll wish you’ve had met him in real life!
His quotes are as brilliant as his work…
“He who will seeks beauty will find it!”
We can totally relate to that…
It sounds so simple, but you have to have an eye for that.
Sadly this brilliant inspiring Mr. Cunningham,
past away June 25th… at the age of 87.
Working 40 years for the NY times.
How sad they all must feel right now… : (
Well, we’re feeling blue as well…
Even without knowing him personally…
That’s what legends do…
So, some inspiration for the dudes…
In loving memory of
THE LEGEND MR. CUNNINGHAM.

DAD, THE DUDE!
Such a COOL BOOK for upcoming fathers day!
Or any other day…
Beautifully, simple and stylish illustrations
which actually don’t need a lot of words.
The story is like a contemporary fairytale…
all will be fine…
KEITH NEGLEY…
An artist with a great sense of humor.
Colorful charming illustrations
which makes us talk about emotions,
with the kids, without making it heavy.
Check his other VERY COOL book too!
TOUGH GUYS (have feelings too).
Brilliant!!!
All found on the amazing online store,
we follow for quite some time…,
ABACUS-KIDS.

Where’s my bone?
For some reason the dudes started to stalk their mum,
every single day, with questions about their project ‘DOG!’
It drives us nuts!
Not something you decide in a day.
A commitment for about 14 years!
So we gave them an assignment;
A twice a day walk around the block
(without a dog and for two months),
through all kinds of weather,
which will make the chance bigger
to get this new member of the family,
if they still want it after that.
We assume they will choose the ‘easy’ way,
the cool comfy cushions of CHISPUM.
Such a brilliant idea!
Three in a row will make ‘the hot-dog-dog’, hahahahaa!
Much more relaxed…

Brilliance no.6
This brilliant portrait of Alwin
is created by the Berlin-based HENRIETTE BANDULIK
(what a talent!)
for the always inspiring La Petite Mag.
It looks so minimalistic and therefore simple, but it’s not!
Brilliant in every way!
With a lot of attention in every detail
from the whole creative team.
Like painting…
First of all the model Alwin,
his gorgeous color of hair,
the hair-do, the wreckles (we looovvveeee that!).
The tone of his skin…
The crystal clear white shirt,
the flowers in his pocket (LOVE!),
beautiful thoughtful colors.
The way he is posing. The way he looks.
What is he thinking?
Vulnerable and yet strong!
And then the creative team… you’ve nailed it!
It’s the combination of a team
which makes their work just good or absolutely brilliant.
It’s a portrait, but it feels like a STILL.
Beauty and silence in one. It deserves to be in an art gallery.
Have a wonderful weekend y’all!

We’re so curious! Soon the new issue of La Petite Mag!
Brilliance no.5
With more hours of sun coming our way,
we’re very much focussed on images outside!
This gorgeous image is one of our favorites, obviously.
Because it makes you look a little bit longer.
Not an image gone in a flash, without any attention.
You just want to take time to take a closer look.
This image is from a series for Papier Mache Magazine,
photographed by the talented Melanie Rodriguez.
Working with a wonderful team,
Charlotte Huguet and Studio Aout,
gets this amazing result!
It’s a profession people!
We love her work, because it’s a bit dreamy,
but yet very contemporary.
We have a big preference
for down-sized colors in photography…
Not too intense, color wise.
Favorite for a reason…
Check all her other beautiful cool work here.
And here’s some extra from this series which we really love.
Check PAPIER MACHE too, owwww what a COOL MAG!
HAVE A WONDERFUL SUNNY WEEKEND Y’ALL!

Waterscape
Incredible beautiful colors! For us it’s art!
A BIG WANNAHAVE! Just to look at…
Although the idea is for the bathroom
or somewhere with water…
We will never leave the bathtub again…
Floating bath toys, inspired by Cotto’s Pætchwork collection.
Sponges and pumice stones shaped like building blocks
can form a playful atmosphere in the bathroom.
Create an imaginary world in and around the water
and play around with these colorful blocks to build a floating waterscape!
Don’t get too excited yet…
Actually this is a prototype
from the Amsterdam based
designstudio ‘De Intuïtiefabriek’.
It’s an all female designstudio finding common ground
in their intuitive way of working
and their use of materials and techniques.
That’s what we love about this design
and their way of working…
It doesn’t look ‘girly’ at all, whatever that means…
It has such fine and refined details
which comes with a tremendous focus we guess.
And their unique signature, obviously.
Waterscape is developed for the exhibition
Cotto Another Perspective, Salone del Mobile 2016.
As at the moment Waterscape is still a prototype,
they are looking for ways to develop it into a commercial product.
Any suggestion feel free to contact them at: info@deintuitiefabriek.nl
We would be very grateful
if we can actually stay in the bathtub
for quite some time…, in the near future ; )

Atelier pour enfants
It is weekend and for us the two-week-May-holiday did start.
To make sure the kids won’t stay in all the time
on the Ipad/Iphone/Xbox,
we’ll try to find some distractions, haha!
However this means just for the (almost) 5-year-old…
The almost 13-year-old we can’t save anymore…
The digital world took over… Ok, luckily there is sports ; )
Well through Pinterest we’ve found out about
ATELIER POUR LES ENFANTS.
An incredibly inspiring blog
from two cool creative ladies,
Odile and Junko.
They give workshops just in France,
so luckily we can follow their blog,
to give us some wonderful inspiration.
The really COOL thing about this blog is,
besides the wonderful results of kids-art,
they give us an inside in their minds.
They show us their inspiration.
How cool is that!
So they teach us in a way about art…LOVE IT!
And as a daughter of an artist
(art painter, sculpturer, screen printer)
I can totally appreciate their brilliant taste of art!
So go and visit ATELIER POUR ENFANTS
and if you live in France visit their workshops
(we’re jealous already ; )!
And let the kids be
‘openminded creative’
for as long as they can!
And you as a parent, on the other hand,
will learn much more then you’ve ever expected…
About ART, DIY & quality time with the kids.
And in the end you will have a unique peace of art in your home.
Frame the one which makes you most happy! What a gift!
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!

Surfing tubes!
Photographer David Handley did a very cool shoot
for AWKWARD MAGAZINE
with a stylist who just got it!!!
and a bunch of
COOL DUDES,
SURFING THE TUBES OF LONDON!
Wearing STÜSSY and VANS, of course we LOVEEEE!
But the brilliant combination of SURFING and TUBES,
but then not taking that too serious,
is bringing a contemporary style which we think is awesome!
Wonderful art direction and brilliant photography!
Beautiful bright colors, contrast
and brilliantly crispy in a photo is what we very much appreciates.
But come on… there are a bunch of COOL DUDES on the subway in London…
#nowordsneeded #cooltothemax! #blabla
ENJOY YOUR DAY SURFING THE TUBES! ; )

From Holland with Love! Buggy to-go!
How much we love the warm hearts of initiatives and their volunteers!
The girls from BAG TO THE FUTURE had a wonderful idea last year,
by collecting backpacks for the refugee-kids at the Méditerranean.
Full with love, dreams, joy & happiness.
To at least get a little smile on their face.
They had left everything and had horrible circumstances
before they’d finally arrived in Lesbos.
Such a heartwarming initiative from the girls!
The reality right now is that the amount of refugees
is growing every day. And we’re all waiting for the EU-decisions,
as we speak. Afraid for what it will be.
Bag to the Future got the urgent request from their Breakfastclub partners
(at Moria/Lesbos, Sjanet Heins en Elly Bens)
for something very essential and very much needed …. BUGGY’s!
We can’t even imagine you have to carry your kids, above two years old,
without a carry-bag or let them walk through the horrific journey.
And most of the time they’re traveling with more than one child.
So here is our request to you!
Do you have a BUGGY left which is comfortable enough
to travel with them on their heavy journey to a better life?
So the kids can sleep, stay warm while traveling
and the parents can breathe a little bit.
THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!
A big preference for ‘the EasyWalker with the big wheels versions’ though.
As you can imagine, it’s needed on tracks with sand and snow.
HERE you will find all the info where to drop of the buggy’s etc.,
the girls keep you posted with the latest updates
and you can communicate through FB with them.
If you don’t have a buggy left but you would like to donate one,
they’re just 25 euro’s, then donate the amount to:
Stichting Bag To The Future: NL34INGB0007102039 t.a.v Buggy to Go
Come on lovely parents, grandparents or other big-hearted people…
HELP US TO MAKE THEM TRAVEL LIGHT!
A MILLION THANKS!
