This brand has been created by the lovely stylish couple Kaori & Alex Walter.
Originally hailing from Japan and Germany,
fell in love exactly halfway between their hometowns.
Now living in that nice little place in California, called L.A… ; )
With their interior design and architecture background
+ their fairytale, being a couple too,
we believe it is a natural thing
something beautiful like this has been created.
And as we totally believe in ‘archetype forms for boys’,
THE TEE, …this is just perfect!
We LOVEEEEE the ‘wannahave’ tees for the lil’ dudes
with these amazing graphics, hand-screen-printed.
Tees and prints we would love to wear ourselves.

[POP UP] SHOP ’til you drop
Last weekend we’ve launched our NEW IDEAS
in a different sequence.
First we’ve joined a POP UP STORE WEEKEND
before we even launched our
‘the contemporary boys store’, curated by THE COOL HEADS
At first it felt a bit weird, but then we thought,
well… then at least Amsterdam could already taste a bit
of our vision on boys styles.
And they did. They seemed to love it.
For a few items I’m almost sold out.
Incredibly wonderful!!!
A lot of great and lovely comments we’ve received.
So this weekend, on November 1st,
we will launch our online store.
Anatology, Corby Tindersticks, The Fableists,
Jall & Tofta, Lion of Leisure, Little Titans, My little Dress Up,
Rop van Mierlo and Tiny Editions
are already part of it… whoop whoop!

A cool, Rotterdam based, brand for every happy stylish person.
Grown ups (well…? haha!) and kids!
We’ve met the ‘very cool’ owner and designer Mietze
in 2013 at the Dutch kidsfair Kleine Fabriek.
At the best spot of this fair, the HTKN-one day shop.
We love her collections.
The shape of the clothes are archetypisch…
something we feel very connected with.
Sweaters, tees, cool pants…
Every season the prints and colors and print techniques do change.
The forms will stay.
While designing, she did a lot of print technique research
and ‘the big search’ to the best printable sweater everrrrr…
She didn’t found it yet,
…so she decided to design and produce ‘that one single great sweater’ herself.
Mausbird’s own sustainable contemporary sweater,
One you can wash a hundred times and it still will be a beauty.
One you can wear every day.
One who’s really nice for our world,
produced in a humane environment
and no child labour!

There’s an interesting event going on this weekend in Rotterdam.
The inspiring creative city in the Netherlands.
As a mom, with less time but more needs then just being a lovely cool caretaker…,
this event will show you the good things. It’s positive and happy.
Styles, launches of new cool brands,
inspiration for holidays. legal advice concerning work…,
nanny’s and whoop whoop… (virgin) cocktails…
what more do you need, haha…
Well a driver back home. So dad can come too (no drinking for him), haha…
They even have a DADDY-corner… Curious what that will be.
It’s sounds a bit like the ball pit of IKEA, but
we guess it will be much more contemporary than that!

A year ago we fell secretly in love with this brand.
The fabrics, the prints, the shapes…
Last month we had a première-experience…
touching their fabrics, take a closer look at the shapes,
while meeting WOLF & RITA at Playtime Paris.
How wonderful!
It’s all about the details.
Their sense for great style.
Minimalistic forms becoming great
with their choice of fabrics.
It’s sophisticated with a classical twist
and yet very contemporary in style.
The finest fabrics are always locally outsourced.
So the tag 100% made in Portugal is their proof of quality
and their support to the local community. Beautiful.
And for parents to choose an adequate shirt for their boys,
like one we would choose ourselves,
in cotton, the softest portuguese flannel,
special washed denim, shiny lurex
and even synthetic leather details…
High-quality,
very well made manufactured,
contemporary stylish
and with a ‘green’ heart…
