Crazy hippos

Old skool cool
This summer we’ve spent 8 days in Copenhagen-area and Hillerød, Denmark.
Also enjoying one touristic tour. The beautiful, fairytale kind of Castle,
Frederiksborg Slot in Hillerød.
The summer residence of the Danish Royal Family.
Anyway, besides all the beautiful paintings, rooms and ‘walking arounds’,
we always end up in the shop.
There we found this cool DIY.
It felt so contemporary with all the beautiful colors.
One with cool green/white harlequin pants…
we love that one! … and the fish…
It appeared to be from 1918
Drawn and created by Danish Architect Hans H. Koch.
It was used as ornaments in Christmas trees.
Now we own it ,
we don’t want to cut it…
To be honest… ,
we want to FRAME it.
because it’s old skool art!

Dad the coolest!
UK’s Mini-eco made this really cool Father’s Day Wrap Paper and Card.
Very contemporary!
How great to just share this with us.
For people, like me, who will think of Father’s Day on a really short notice…
it’s the best invention…
And it’s a great Wrap Paper for dad’s birthday too!
To add some personal style,
you can be creative with colorful (neon) markers
or draw some funny ‘dad-creations’ on it…
Anyway… we love it big time!

Chillin’ at the movies!
Going to the cinema with your baby… to see your favourite movies…
how wonderful, exciting and
yes it’s pretty relaxed!

Such a wonderful concept this is… originally from Scandinavia
founded fifteen years ago… and now also in a Dutch version.
A cinema especially prepared for parents with babies (up till about one year old)…
They dim the lights and lower the volume (heaven!)
Bottle warming and nappy changing facilities
and buggy parking are available at every screening.
You don’t have to arrange a baby-sitter to see a great movie
but just go together with the little one.
Enjoy the movie, relax and even let go off some maternity or tiredness tears…
So it feels like home, but you’re going out… cool!
The contemporary illustrations for Cinemum caught our eye!
They’re so cool, funny and beautiful… and we love them
just being black and white with a red detail.
They’re created by dutch-based artist Katherina Plevkova.
