Last weekend we’ve launched our NEW IDEAS
in a different sequence.

First we’ve joined a POP UP STORE WEEKEND
before we even launched our
‘the contemporary boys store’, curated by THE COOL HEADS

At first it felt a bit weird, but then we thought,
well… then at least Amsterdam could already taste a bit
of our vision on boys styles.
And they did. They seemed to love it.
For a few items I’m almost sold out.
Incredibly wonderful!!!
A lot of great and lovely comments we’ve received.

So this weekend, on November 1st,
we will launch our online store.

Anatology, Corby Tindersticks, The Fableists,
Jall & Tofta, Lion of Leisure, Little Titans, My little Dress Up,
Rop van Mierlo and Tiny Editions
are already part of it… whoop whoop!
LOVE IT!!!

And more ‘very cool and lovely other versions’
are on their way!
Excitinggggg!!!!!

Since this is an unexpected opportunity,
not all the brands are delivered yet.

A few weeks ago already, let’s say three… : )
we’ve rushed back and fourth from Amsterdam, by car,  to Paris.
It wasn’t even possible for us to go,
but we couldn’t resist and we’ve made it possible!

With the youngest on tour with us, … that necessary…, hahaha…

Just being there for a little afternoon was enough for
a happy face and being incredibly inspired.
PLAYTIME PARIS it is!
We’ve spent the night at Mama Shelter
and left at 7 in the morning

Owww so lucky we did!

Catching up with our favourites…
Loud Apparel, Noch Mini & Anatology
Ofcourse for their great inspiring designs,
but even more because they’re very nice and inspiring people
and lovely to hang out with. Talking about designs, fabrics, inspiration…
Always first on our list to visit.

In front of  Mini Rodini‘s booth (with their ‘always wannahaves’- designs)
we’ve bumped into this cool lady, shop owner of
… TINY (store Berlin), the lovely Anne.
With her amazing good taste and sense of style.
If you’re in Berlin you have to visit her shop… It’s very inspiring!

It was a big surprise to see our photography printed big,
in the booth of Antwerp’s kidsbrand
Lion Of Leisure.
They’ve just started one year ago
and they almost can’t handle the orders
for their handprinted designs.
How wonderful!
Great to see what social media can do for a brand nowadays.

It was also very lovely to say hi to the Dutch Ladies of :
My little Dress Up,
Even though we can meet in Amsterdam : )
A shiny cool collection.
Hopefully we have a lot of weddings next summer.

And having a nice chat with the coolest shoesbrand from London
Chapter 2.
We loved their presentation. Last season they already won a Milk Award.
Follow them, amazing perfectly handmade shoes and belts.

Last but not very least, we’ve met the designer of
Wolf & Rita.
Finally could touch their designs.
Beautiful fabrics!
We’re in love with the clothes, the photography
and the coolest model, their son…
His funny face makes us smile big time!

When we literally left the builing we were introduced, by Lion of Leisure,
to the ladies of Stadlandkind (Switzerland). A Swiss cool webshop.
Whom we know by Instagram.
Haha… So funny that we first meet on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.
But much better to meet in real live!

Thanks again so much Playtime Paris for being such a great host
and creating a meetingpoint for us.
And big thumbs up to all the inspiring brands.
Be proud, it’s so cool!

SPRING SUMMER 15
Graphic, illustration-wise, colorful in detail, fun elements,
stylish versions of clothing  we would love to wear ourselves,
without being too grown-up…
Soft fabrics and sweatfree, eco-friendly…
WHOOP WHOOP!

And some brands made us amazingly happy,
because we know we will work together with them for
OUR NEW CONCEPT,
LAUNCHING start of Autumn.

TINY store Berlin is the coolest! Seriously!
Is it because of all the cool brands Anne has curated for us?
Yes absolutely!
Her selection, her eye for cool things for kids, her vision…

The icing on the cake though, is her presence in the shop.
Showing her passion for ‘things for kids’ and for the creative mind.
It comes naturally…
Anne Postrach, the founder of TINY store  is a beautiful person.
Someone who’ s totally herself.
Just following her heart for art, styles and creativeness.

We’ve spend a few hours in her shop when we visited great Berlin this holiday.
Not because it’s a big shop. Because it feels a bit like home…
A stylish, wannahave it all, version, haha…

The kids can play in the back of the store, which we really like.
Where they can make drawings.
Where they can play hide and seek in the coolest dressingroom.
Almost a piece of art. With special made layered curtains by Nadine Goepfert.

You feel the appreciation of curiosity and fun in design
(copied this sentence, because that’s exactly what it feels like)!
It’s about color, graphics, fabrics, printing and Scandinavian styles.
But also great designs from her own country.
Anne is not afraid to stand out.
We love the pastel sweater, salmon and mint,  for the boys.

If I was a brand I would be delighted to be sold in TINY!
The vibe is cool. And basic, as in wood and color, so your brand would stand out.
Like in an art gallery, but without the distance of art.

Anne is also publishing and selling it exclusively in her shop.
A cool little alphabet mag/little book caught our eye
+ the newest (just in the shop) posters created by Nadine Goepfert as well.
Three versions and you really want all three of them.

It’s exciting, intelligent and inspiring!
GO THERE ASAP!

And if you pop in, give her a Cappuccino Soy from us,
from the great bakery across the street…
She will love it!

Ok, we’re halfway March and we already need sunnies (whoop whoop)
but still are daydreaming about warm days on the beach…

These cool designs will take us a bit towards the Californian lifestyle
(and then we wake up in our sunny but freezing Amsterdam… big bummer, haha).

How cool is this…,  Herschell Supply aligned with Californian artist Kevin Butler…
Their ‘first everrrr’ partnership with an artist for their cool brand.
Archetypisch nostalgic designs of bags, backpacks and accessoiries
with great prints and color combinations.

With Kevin Butler’s well-loved series ‘RAD CARS with RAD SURFBOARDS on them’
they’ve created a unique limited edition capsule collection.
The idea of this series printed inside the bags is really cool…
Simple versus surprise. It’s all about the details!

The Californian vibe is, besides the RAD cars prints,
in the house… because of the cool accessories like
the surf-socks, a surfboard rack (a big wannahave for us!)
and the biggie beach towel with the ‘pretty much packed’-VW-bus.

Luckily we’re invited to the launch of this cool collaboration
Thanks to cool agent PUBLIC_
So tommorow we will take the famous THE-COOL-HEADS-BOYS .
to touch/hold and smell (haha) this limited editions
and we will report the true experience afterwards.
Hopefully we won’t be thrown out because of our little rascals.

For now we enjoy the ‘contemporary warm vibes’ around this collection
and say hi from Amsterdam!

Our hero Mister Pharrell Williams. inspires us very much with his cool excellent styles.
He amazed us by doing something different at the Oscars.
By showing up in a tuxedo with
posh shorts.

from our hometown Amsterdam,
designs cool toxedo’s & fancy styles for boys.
Really contemporary in beautiful fabrics…
With the allure of the early days…
And the perfect fit,
thanks to the experience of
real professional pattern makers…
The highest quality of garments…
and oh how much we love that!

Yesterday we flew in for one day…
to a place where we really wanted to be
PLAYTIME PARIS!

To catch up with our designer-friends Noch Mini and Loud Apparel.
To talk to new great designers, from whom we’ve heard about already,
but never met.
To meet some nice agents, whom we will keep in touch with…
and some very very cool NEW BRANDS who’ve just launched
their AMAZING first collection. We’re very proud of you!

All the creativity was mindblowing…
You had to take your time and think what you would like to see…
All the colours (or monotones), 400 brands…

MILK MAGAZINE has this cool design-award
at Playtime
to show all of us the
cool stuff on the block.
Well they nailed it again!

We’ve met some nice journalists too.
Great and inspiring to talk to very experienced collegues.
Especially for the more visual versions like us.

And we have to say it again…
THANKS SO MUCH PLAYTIME-CREW!
for treating us so nice!
Spoiled at the pressroom with delicious food and
a great seat to make up your mind about
what to see in the last two hours (haha)
…while having a delicious coffee.
