Brilliance no.8

TCH_Josh_by_Brock_ElbankImpressive portrait of Josh,
by the incredibly talented Mister Brock Elbank.
I knew his work before.
Familiar from the impressive BEARD-series,
which is not something the boys are ready for yet,
beards, ;-D

First of all this cool dude.

The photographer’s wife spotted this boy
and he thanked her for that on IG.
Totally understand that!
The most important ingredient to make it just a good
or an incredibly brilliant portrait is the right model.
Not just beautiful, but more likely one-of-a-kind.

His beautiful wreckles,
combined with his stunning curls and colour of his hair.
Never saw this before.

But then, the magic of the photographer…
the light, the background, the way the model poses.

In this portrait,
all has so many gorgeous tones in colour.
Absolutely stunning!
And his face is so strong,
his eyes have such a beautiful colour.
His torso is toned.
He could be a surfer, a football-player,
or just a boy his age.
It really doesn’t matter.
He has the grace of a contemporary Royal.
He looks so proud,
without any arrogance.
Just very very strong!

Absolutely brilliant!

tch_sami_parkkinenFrom the series Father & Son 2014,
a portrait of Arvi,
by Finnish photographer and artist
SAMI PARKKINEN.

It’s so brilliant in pureness. His glance… is it dreamy?
What did this boy thought at the moment of this photoshoot?
We will never find out and it doesn’t really matter,
but it makes that great way of looking…
His blue eyes which has a great color-reference with the t-shirt.
Is the tee dad’s, like the beautiful woolen coat?
Questions popping into our minds.

All with the beautiful light it makes such an interesting pure portrait.
The colors makes it masculine, but it is also fragile and soft.
The proportions. The little boy with the big coat… Absolutely amazing!
This portrait keeps you busy. That’s why we think it’s brilliant!

Little Royals…

The United Kingdom was celebrating,
as all the Royal fanbase around the globe.
From that time on we’ve created a moodboard
to inspire The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge,
to shop for their contemporary little prince.

Today, 3rd tuesday of September,
it’s the opening-day of our Dutch parliament.
We call it ‘Prinsjesdag’ (something like the day of the Princes).
Everybody is trying to look at their best,
with beautiful hats and dresses (and boring suits),
but unfortunately a lot of the ministers
and employees of the Parliamant fail big time!
Our Queen Maxima does always look stunning though.
And no kids are enjoying this party ofcourse…

But we would like to inspire you anyway today…
As it’s a bit of a Royal Day!
With  BOWTIES & CLASSY STYLES
and ofcourse LITTLE ROYALS
to make your ‘petit prince’ look like a contemporary Royal,
at weddings, chique parties or just because you feel like it!

Bonne journée!

Kids Flowershooting

This brilliant portrait of Alwin
is created by the Berlin-based HENRIETTE BANDULIK
(what a talent!)
for the always inspiring La Petite Mag.

It looks so minimalistic and therefore simple, but it’s not!
Brilliant in every way!
With a lot of attention in every detail
from the whole creative team.

Like painting…

First of all the model Alwin,
his gorgeous color of hair,
the hair-do, the wreckles (we looovvveeee that!).
The tone of his skin…
The crystal clear white shirt,
the flowers in his pocket (LOVE!),
beautiful thoughtful colors.
The way he is posing. The way he looks.
What is he thinking?
Vulnerable and yet strong!

And then the creative team… you’ve nailed it!
It’s the combination of a team
which makes their work just good or absolutely brilliant.

It’s a portrait, but it feels like a STILL.
Beauty and silence in one. It deserves to be in an art gallery.

Have a wonderful weekend y’all!

86_wild22With more hours of sun coming our way,
we’re very much focussed on images outside!
This gorgeous image is one of our favorites, obviously.
Because it makes you look a little bit longer.
Not an image gone in a flash, without any attention.
You just want to take time to take a closer look.

This image is from a series for Papier Mache Magazine,
photographed by the talented Melanie Rodriguez.
Working with a wonderful team,
 Charlotte Huguet and Studio Aout,
gets this amazing result!
It’s a profession people!

We love her work, because it’s a bit dreamy,
but yet very contemporary.
We have a big preference
for down-sized colors in photography…
Not too intense, color wise.
Favorite for a reason…
Check all her other beautiful cool work here.

And here’s some extra from this series which we really love.
Check PAPIER MACHE too, owwww what a COOL MAG!

Stunning colors, Bowie and Circus vibe…, very high-end.
And a beauty of a model with his incredibly COOL red hair and freckles…
Absolutely brilliant!

This gorgeous image is from
Swedish photographer Karolina Henke.

She made this one for inspiring La Petite Mag.
Her images are always like a contemporary fairytale.
Very strong! It seems to be that’s her specialty.
Her unique ability to direct her models
into strong personal expressions.

WE WANT MORE!

Brillance!
… take a closer look…
[ black & white photography ]

A few weeks ago we were in Paris for the KID-SHOWS
and bumped into the very COOL MISS Michelle Marshall.
How lucky we are!

The London based photographer
to whom we will give a compliment,
almost every (two) week (s) on IG… haha!
But never had the chance to meet her in real life…
Big laugh about it, when we finally did meet.

Conclusion after this meet & greet;
Very talented photographer, very stylish miss and lovely to talk to.
An inspiring lady.  More to come…

For now we would like you to take a closer look
at #brilliance no.3!

Little cool details makes it big!
Her work is the example of that.
Very fashion, street style
and very minimalistic.
It’s about the face, the personality…

This portrait of model Conor for Named Models,
to us, gives innocence, silence
and yet an incredibly strong personality in one image.

Being very cool in his NIKE sweater… (we looovvveee)
As both contemporary and timeless, as it can be.

Have a wonderful lovely weekend y’all!

Photography: (the…) Michelle Marshall
