Master of Photography!
Only 24hrs left,
to get the opportunity of a lifetime…
A PHOTOSESSION ,
WITH THIS 5 year old MASTER …
And on top of that
some delicicious ICECREAM
( love it!!!!, it must be his idea )
all in wonderful SEATTLE
Imagine,
there’s a quite celebrated talented National Geographic photographer,
who will take his 4 year old son on a roadtrip through the desert to enjoy
a father & son get-together…
But it happened to be a lifechanging experience…
The dad, Aaron Huey,
was looking for something to do for fun,
while travelling…
Something they would both enjoy…
Along the way
they’ve bought 4 year old Hawkeye
an instant Fuji camera.
Well glad they did…
We looovvveeeeee it!!!!!
Little Hawkeye stole our heart.
As a photographer and mom of a 4 year old myself,
I would dream about something like this to happen.
BOY OH BOY…
The images…
Brilliant!!!!
Analog will always bring something surprising,
something we can’t control.
The angle from where he photographs the subject is so refreshing!
So natural and logical, but yet never ever done like this before.
Well, the rest is history.
There will almost be
HIS FIRST PHOTOBOOK
and you can help!
(big wannahave!)
Watch at KICKSTARTER!
You will see THIS LOVELY VIDEO!

Three weeks ago we won the TALENT AWARD
at the Dutch Mom Blog Awards. YAHOO!!!!!
Couldn’t imagine the feeling and positive vibes!
Very very motivating to move on to the next level.
Meeting very cool creatives, smart-girls,
initiatives and cool brands was so much fun!
A moment away from the APPLE-I-sland
Lovely to meet you all!
We would like to thank the jury;
Bugaboo‘s Eeke van Velzen,
Campina‘s Pinar Erbudak
and JustK‘s Kirsten Jassies
BIG TIME!
Thanks for believing in the different,
contemporary thoughts of a curator.
For taking a closer look…
at the content, the photography, the brands,
the vision and the fun for the cool dudes.
Their thoughts;
“Very strong niche
with a good mix of own and curated content.
Wayward and Quirky. Design is very well translated.
WE SEE A BRIGHT FUTURE!”
A very special thanks to Esther Buitendijk, owner of Blogstreet and urbanmoms,
who’ve made it possible to shine at the Dutch Mom Blog Awards, one of her many initiatives!
Thanks Esther, big time!

Pure poetry
Listening to contemporary classic music
and looking at this beautiful image is
pure poetry to me…
It’s the newest design,
a limited edition,
of the want-to-have-it-all
brand ANATOLOGY.
Anatology’s founder Delphine Miquel
is what I think a designer should be.
Being incredibly creative, surprising…,
an out-of-the-box-thinker…
gives the #wow-factor.
You can tell that she has a background
in art and design.
She studied at the Beaux-Arts.
There are already two articles I wrote about this
lovely creative intelligent designer.
Mr.Toucan & Graphic Jungle
For now just have a look at this gorgeous,
breathtaking design
and wait patiently.
This limited edition sleep bag,
a hooded bath towel, a bib and cases
will be available before Christmas.
So you can buy the best present everrr…
(for yourself… )

Jurassic Party!
For a while now, I just say it to keep it mild…,
our youngest dude is #crazy about #dinosaurs.
We call him #thedukeofdinosaurland…
Well sometimes I would love to throw them all away…
They’re very interesting creatures, obviously…
But a lot of times they’re not so appealing…
Luckily there are some smart and creative designers
who will make you jump,
when they come up with the coolest version of these creatures.
Awesome colors with black = a big wanna have!
So here’s an inspiring example of how dinosaurs in 2015 should be.
Illustrator & graphic designer Anna Dance (such a cool name!) from
HELLO PANTS just nailed it!
Some colorful happy wall coolness is what we all need.
Have an AWESOME WEEKEND y’all!
And please keep in mind how lucky we are…
will write about that soon.
For now some happy vibes…

Wood, waves and cool little dudes
The upcoming October-Issue from SURFER mag(azine)
has one of ‘the-coolest-dudes-covers everrrr!!!!
An ‘awesome in every detail’, beautiful black & white photograph,
with 6 cool little dudes from a tiny isolated village in Indonesia.
Where they surf, unaware of the modern surf culture.
All you need is
some kind of board,
board shorts
and all will be awesome!
I really need this on picture on my wall,
to get a smile on my face every day.
And make me stay aware of the fact that
happiness and joy is in small, little things…
Indonesia, surfing,
cool little fellas and
black & white photography
BAM!
Have yourself a wonderful day!
and at least enjoy the little things in life,
like they do!
SMILE!

HAPPINESS all over the place!
A must-see for happy pre-weekend-vibes!
MAKOTO – LA BAMBA
by my favourite Director,
Achim Lippoth
(Sorry almost #spam you)
WISH YOU AN AWESOME WEEKEND!
la la la la la bamba….
Owwww BOY you will fall in love …
Color bomb, paint in different styles, different techniques.
Beautiful color palette. Smart, awesome and beautiful
use of fabrics and their techniques.
Owwww BOY you will fall in love …
with the spring/summer collections for the next year.
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS… AGAIN!
This upcoming weeks you can expect updates, a glimpse of creation
and a little bit of the inside thoughts of your creative journalist’s head
But I won’t tell you all the secrets…
CIFF KIDS Copenhagen was really worth to pay a visit!
I love the way it’s been set up.
Interior upstairs and the clothing brands,
shoes, accessoires downstairs.
Very scandinavian clean and organised,
which has my preference in chaos.
I have one critical note;
(for the brands, not CIFF KIDS)
For press it’s not always a warm bath at some brands.
Because there are a lot of agents representing
instead of the designers themselves.
If you don’t buy you’re not very interesting for them,
which I think is a slightly shalow thought.
Especially when there is no-one at your booth.
it’s kind of weird…
Yes there are people really interested without expecting…
However… I’ve learned and it confirmed my thoughts…
Now I know for sure
why I’m so much more interested
in the designer, the creator.
Because we connect.
I really understand their passion,
their drive, the way they see the world
and why they want to make it better, nicer, cooler.
I had a very nice chat with CRLNBSMNS
and Vicky Wang from ONCE (Taiwan)
Which made it worth anyway.
Their passion for both their brand is beyond!
Caroline Bosmans is, in my opinion, a visionaire.
People from the kids fashion industry should study her work,
so they can learn what it’s really about.
SOMEDAY SOON and WOLF & RITA
are really my favourites for the dudes!
Every season they surprise us.
And they grow solid and inspire big time!
THE DESIGNERS/CREATORS RULES
and we’re lucky to work with them.
AND BOY OWWW BOY…
I was so touched by a short movie/clip directed by Achim Lippoth.
Amazingly beautifully poeticly filmed.
Yes, with even one tear running down my cheek.
Keep your eyes open.
You can learn so much from the designers,
directors and creators!
They will show you the real beauty.

the cover of KID’S WEAR
by Achim Lippoth
p.s.
there are some shop-owners which are more a
curator-businesslady-stylist-visionaire…
Like my friend Anne Postrach from TINY things for kids Berlin.
Very inspiring lovely lady. Check her very cool Berlin based store
