86_wild22-detail

86_wild22With more hours of sun coming our way,
we’re very much focussed on images outside!
This gorgeous image is one of our favorites, obviously.
Because it makes you look a little bit longer.
Not an image gone in a flash, without any attention.
You just want to take time to take a closer look.

This image is from a series for Papier Mache Magazine,
photographed by the talented Melanie Rodriguez.
Working with a wonderful team,
 Charlotte Huguet and Studio Aout,
gets this amazing result!
It’s a profession people!

We love her work, because it’s a bit dreamy,
but yet very contemporary.
We have a big preference
for down-sized colors in photography…
Not too intense, color wise.
Favorite for a reason…
Check all her other beautiful cool work here.

And here’s some extra from this series which we really love.
Check PAPIER MACHE too, owwww what a COOL MAG!

Waterscape

For us it’s art!
A BIG WANNAHAVE! Just to look at…
Although the idea is for the bathroom
or somewhere with water…
We will never leave the bathtub again…

Floating bath toys, inspired by Cotto’s Pætchwork collection.
Sponges and pumice stones shaped like building blocks
can form a playful atmosphere in the bathroom.
Create an imaginary world in and around the water
and play around with these colorful blocks to build a floating waterscape!

Don’t get too excited yet…
Actually this is a prototype
from the Amsterdam based
designstudio ‘De Intuïtiefabriek’.
It’s an all female designstudio finding common ground
in their intuitive way of working
and their use of materials and techniques.

That’s what we love about this design
and their way of working…
It doesn’t look ‘girly’ at all, whatever that means…
It has such fine and refined details
which comes with a tremendous focus we guess.
And their unique signature, obviously.

Waterscape is developed for the exhibition
Cotto Another Perspective, Salone del Mobile 2016.

As at the moment Waterscape is still a prototype,
they are looking for ways to develop it into a commercial product.
Any suggestion feel free to contact them at: info@deintuitiefabriek.nl

We would be very grateful
if we can actually stay in the bathtub
for quite some time…, in the near future ; )

It is weekend and for us the two-week-May-holiday did start.
To make sure the kids won’t stay in all the time
on the Ipad/Iphone/Xbox,
we’ll try to find some distractions, haha!
However this means just for the (almost) 5-year-old…
The almost 13-year-old we can’t save anymore…
The digital world took over… Ok, luckily there is sports ; )

Well through Pinterest we’ve found out about
ATELIER POUR LES ENFANTS.
An incredibly inspiring blog
from two cool creative ladies,
Odile and Junko.
They give workshops just in France,
so luckily we can follow their blog,
to give us some wonderful inspiration.

The really COOL thing about this blog is,
besides the wonderful results of kids-art,
they give us an inside in their minds.
They show us their inspiration.
How cool is that!
So they teach us in a way about art…LOVE IT!

And as a daughter of an artist
(art painter, sculpturer, screen printer)
I can totally appreciate their brilliant taste of art!

So go and visit ATELIER POUR ENFANTS
and if you live in France visit their workshops
(we’re jealous already ; )!
And let the kids be
‘openminded creative’
for as long as they can!

And you as a parent, on the other hand,
will learn much more then you’ve ever expected…
About ART, DIY & quality time with the kids.
And in the end you will have a unique peace of art in your home.
Frame the one which makes you most happy! What a gift!

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!

for AWKWARD MAGAZINE
with a stylist who just got it!!!
and a bunch of
COOL DUDES,
SURFING THE TUBES OF LONDON!

Wearing STÜSSY and VANS, of course we LOVEEEE!

But the brilliant combination of SURFING and TUBES,
but then not taking that too serious,
is bringing a contemporary style which we think is awesome!
Wonderful art direction and brilliant photography!
Beautiful bright colors, contrast
and brilliantly crispy in a photo is what we very much appreciates.

But come on… there are a bunch of COOL DUDES on the subway in London…

ENJOY YOUR DAY SURFING THE TUBES! ; )

From Holland with Love! Buggy to-go!

TCH_bag-to-the-future_buggy-to-goHow much we love the warm hearts of initiatives and their volunteers!
The girls from BAG TO THE FUTURE had a wonderful idea last year,
by collecting backpacks for the refugee-kids at the Méditerranean.
Full with love, dreams, joy & happiness.
To at least get a little smile on their face.
They had left everything and had horrible circumstances
before they’d finally arrived in Lesbos.
Such a heartwarming initiative from the girls!

The reality right now is that the amount of refugees
is growing every day. And we’re all waiting for the EU-decisions,
as we speak. Afraid for what it will be.

Bag to the Future got the urgent request from their Breakfastclub partners
(at Moria/Lesbos, Sjanet Heins en Elly Bens)
for something very essential and very much needed …. BUGGY’s!
We can’t even imagine you have to carry your kids, above two years old,
without a carry-bag or let them walk through the horrific journey.
And most of the time they’re traveling with more than one child.

So here is our request to you!
Do you have a BUGGY left which is comfortable enough
to travel with them on their heavy journey to a better life?
So the kids can sleep, stay warm while traveling
and the parents can breathe a little bit.

THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!
A big preference for ‘the EasyWalker with the big wheels versions’ though.
As you can imagine, it’s needed on tracks with sand and snow.
HERE you will find all the info where to drop of the buggy’s etc.,
the girls keep you posted with the latest updates
and you can communicate through FB with them.

If you don’t have a buggy left but you would like to donate one,
they’re just 25 euro’s, then donate the amount to:

Come on lovely parents, grandparents or other big-hearted people…
HELP US TO MAKE THEM TRAVEL LIGHT!

A MILLION THANKS!

It’s that day again ; )

What is it with Monday’s?
Is it the start of a new week?
Or did we loved the weekend so much…?
Or do we have a heavy duty week ahead of us…?

If you have a boring job, then we can imagine,
but if you love what you do…
Monday’s can just be a FRESH HAPPY START of the week!
Anyway, it’s up to you what you make out of it.

HAPPY MONDAY Y’ALL!

Stunning colors, Bowie and Circus vibe…, very high-end.
And a beauty of a model with his incredibly COOL red hair and freckles…
Absolutely brilliant!

This gorgeous image is from
Swedish photographer Karolina Henke.

She made this one for inspiring La Petite Mag.
Her images are always like a contemporary fairytale.
Very strong! It seems to be that’s her specialty.
Her unique ability to direct her models
into strong personal expressions.

WE WANT MORE!

THE SUN IS SHINING…
Agatha Cub… from NYC!
COOL TO THE MAX!

Creative director, lovely Bianca Reis,
is the creator behind this beautiful refined cool brand.
Launched in 2013 already!

With two cool dudes [ her nephews ]
as her inspiration and her background in fashion
she has created a gorgeous, very contemporary and fashionable style.
With a very ‘own identity’.
High quality, sustainable and ethically made.

We can blabla about all the details,
but we think with just taking a closer look,
it says more then words does.

It’s so beautifully well-made!
Inside and outside have different prints.
Typical AC!

Today, their Spring Summer 16 collection
‘BOTANICALS’ is launching as you’ve just found out ; )
Taking a look at the stunning shots.

Beautiful, VERY COOL & a big wanna have…
Every item is strong and unique, because of,
for sure, the amazing prints and strong forms.
So if you wear just a piece of AC with a basic,
the boys will still shine big time!

Button down’s, sweaters, comfy pants and shorts.
The longer tees with different prints are already a favourite.
But actually we can’t choose…
From the ‘bunny black’ we want it all!

Available in all the cool stores from today on!
Like a few of our favourites,
where you can actually try it on;
Charlotte’s KID Antwerp and Anne’s TINY store Berlin

Dream with us about SPRING & SUMMER,
go and check the whole collection.
Sold out in a bit, is our prediction ; )

HAVE A WONDERFUL SUNNY DAY!

All images are from Agatha Cub’s lookbook.

p.s. We always try to show you just the dudes-stuff,
but how can we not show you the girls in their coolest outfits?
So just a glimpse, because we can’t resist!

P.S. BIANCA, YOU’RE A ROCKSTAR!

Brillance!
… take a closer look…
[ black & white photography ]

A few weeks ago we were in Paris for the KID-SHOWS
and bumped into the very COOL MISS Michelle Marshall.
How lucky we are!

The London based photographer
to whom we will give a compliment,
almost every (two) week (s) on IG… haha!
But never had the chance to meet her in real life…
Big laugh about it, when we finally did meet.

Conclusion after this meet & greet;
Very talented photographer, very stylish miss and lovely to talk to.
An inspiring lady.  More to come…

For now we would like you to take a closer look
at #brilliance no.3!

Little cool details makes it big!
Her work is the example of that.
Very fashion, street style
and very minimalistic.
It’s about the face, the personality…

This portrait of model Conor for Named Models,
to us, gives innocence, silence
and yet an incredibly strong personality in one image.

Being very cool in his NIKE sweater… (we looovvveee)
As both contemporary and timeless, as it can be.

Have a wonderful lovely weekend y’all!

Happy new ‘long ears’ museum!

NIJNTJE [in dutch], MIFFY [in english]
is the worldwide well known character of
world famous artist Dick Bruna (1927).
Originally created in 1955, when entertaining his son,
by drawing some characters…

We think all generations
are very familiar with her at some point.

Last year the brilliant work of Dick Bruna was curated
to be in the permanent collection of the Rijksmuseum.
And before that, there was the Dick Bruna
Home in Central Museum Utrecht.

Awesomeness to the max we think…
…but…
It’s getting better!

From tomorrow on, there will be the
MIFFY MUSEUM!
[NIJNTJE MUSEUM]

A place where toddlers and pre-schoolers
can experience the Miffy world,
and use their own imagination…
to play, crawl, explore, sniff, dance,
experience, create and have fun.
Like Dick Bruna’s philosophy.

Find out about his brilliant icon, Miffy!
… at this ‘brand new museum’.

So very worth to pay a visit!
If you love the long ‘archetype’ ears…,
obviously ; )

ENJOY BIG TIME!
